As an independently owned bakery, cafe, coffee shop and bar, we pride ourselves on making everything in house, from scratch, to supply our Perk Coffee and Doughnuts on Church Street and our newly opened cafe, Perk Pantry, on Tomatin Road.
We are now expanding our wonderful team! There are a variety of roles available, which are outlined below.

Cocktail Bartender
We are looking for a bubbly, creative and passionate cocktail bartender to join our team! We want someone with strong attention to detail and finesse, who can multitask in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure.
Opening hours are Thursday - Sunday, 3pm - midnight. Weekend work is essential.
36+ hours available - position can be split into two part time roles if there are two suitable applicants.
Key duties in this role will be;
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Prepare and mix a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Follow all food safety guidelines.
Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
Engage with customers, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
Help with social media photos and posts of drinks to help advertise our offerings.
A Personal License would be favourable but training can be provided for the right applicant who can commit to the team.

Barista / cafe superstars
We have multiple roles available in both Perk coffee and doughnuts, and Perk Pantry.
Some of the duties in Perk Coffee and Doughnuts on Church Street include dialling in the coffee machine regularly, providing friendly customer service in a fast paced environment, serving hot and cold food while upholding all hygiene standards.
Opening hours are 7.30am-3.30pm 7 days a week.
There is upwards of 25+ hours available that can be split across multiple roles for the right applicants.
Some duties in Perk Pantry on Tomatin Road include dialling in the coffee machine regularly, staying calm while working in a fast paced environment and providing a high level of customer service to our tables.
Opening hours are 7.30am-4pm Thursday to Monday. There is upwards of 37+ hours available that can be split across multiple roles for the right applicant.
Both roles require cash handling responsibilities, supporting the team in creating content for our social media, taking orders, explaining menu items, making suggestions, and processing payments using POS systems.

Chef
There are Chef and Baker positions available and for the right candidate cross training can be provided if the candidate wanted to be a part of both teams.
We are on the hunt for a creative and hard working individual who demonstrates good communication skills, maintains a positive attitude and works well under pressure. You must have strong time keeping skills, be willing to work collaboratively and have good problem solving skills.
We are open Thursday to Monday 7.30am-4pm, weekend work will be required.
Rate of pay will be competitive, and dependent on experience.

Chef Responsibilities;
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Making fresh bagel doughs daily.
Help with the smooth running of a fast paced kitchen environment.
Work collaboratively with other chefs and bakers.
Maintain a high standard of food preparation techniques.
Working to a high standard and keeping the workspaces clean, and in line with hygiene and safety guidances.
Deep cleaning of the kitchen regularly.
Staying on top of ordering stock and stock rotation.
An up to date hygiene certificate is favoured but not essential. Training can be provided.

Night Baker
There are Baker and Chef positions available and for the right candidate cross training can be provided if the candidate wanted to be a part of both teams.
We are on the hunt for a creative and hard working individual who demonstrates good communication skills, maintains a positive attitude and works well under pressure. You must have strong time keeping skills, be willing to work collaboratively and have good problem solving skills.
Shift patterns are typically 8pm-4am, 12am-8am or 2am-10am.
We are open 7 days a week, weekend work will be required.
Rate of pay will be competitive, and dependent on experience.

Baking Responsibilities;
Measuring and combining ingredients.
Making pastry dough, lamination, shaping and proving pastries.
Making doughs using large mixers and kitchen equipment. Proving, frying and decorating doughnuts within a fast paced environment.
Helping to create new flavours of doughnuts each month, working on new recipes and new bakes.
Help to prepare freshly baked breads, focaccia and pastries.
Working to a high standard and keeping the workspaces clean, in line with hygiene and safety guidances.
Deep cleaning of the kitchen regularly.
Staying on top of stock rotation.
An up to date hygiene certificate is favoured but not essential. Training can be provided.
